To work as part of an integrated therapy team, consisting of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Therapy Assistants to provide excellent therapy care to children and their families. To ensure that you provide timely assessments and interventions to a variety of patients aged 0-18 across paediatrics, including baby MSK clinics, referrals from maternity, CF clinic, and respiratory outpatients by consultant referral, inpatient oncology, respiratory, orthopaedic, rheumatology, and mental health patients. You will be provided with training and development opportunities to support your progress in this specialist role. Please note that this role will also involve some clinical work and management across the women's and pelvic health specialty. To be professional and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work, including the management of patients in your care. To ensure a high standard of clinical care for the patients under your management, and support more junior staff to do likewise, taking over the care of more complex patients where appropriate. To interpret and analyse clinical and non-clinical facts from a wide range of sources to form accurate diagnoses and prognoses in a wide range of highly complex conditions, to recommend the best course of intervention, and to develop comprehensive discharge plans. To undertake the comprehensive assessment of patients, including those with a complex presentation, using investigative and analytical skills, and to formulate individualised management and treatment plans, using clinical reasoning, and utilising a wide range of treatment skills and options to formulate a specialised programme of care. To provide the specialist physiotherapy input to any outpatient and follow-up clinics as required. Person Specification

Qualifications

Degree/Diploma in Professional Field Current Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration Evidence of relevant post-graduate courses/CPD to Masters Level Knowledge

Communicating with patients and a wide range of health care professionals Knowledge of work procedures and practices Experience

Relevant experience including a broad range of clinical experience Experience in handling and communicating sensitive information Experience in health, acute hospital, or social care setting Experience of carrying out assessment and treatment in the context of complex medical and psychological problems where there are likely to be conflicting expert opinions Skills

Able to communicate with a wide range of professionals and the public Able to work collaboratively within an MDT Ability to pass on skills and knowledge to others within both formal and informal environments Values Based Question
