An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 7 Paediatric Physiotherapy Team Leader to join the Paediatric Physiotherapy Service of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. The post holder will be responsible for Team Leading in the Children Centre Royal Glamorgan Hospital delivering physiotherapy services to children and young people with special needs and complex physical difficulties in the acute, community and school settings. This post is a permanent post. The post holder will work closely with hospital, community, education and local authority based Multi-disciplinary Teams in order to maintain continuity of service and to be responsible for the effective treatment and management of children and young people with special needs and complex physical difficulties. The physiotherapy department is looking for an HCPC registered physiotherapist who can demonstrate previous comprehensive experience of working within Paediatric Physiotherapy in Community, Acute and Children Centre settings, demonstrating a broad knowledge of Paediatric Conditions and Pathways. The post holder will require the ability to perform and cope with all aspects of manual handling and carry out the full range of duties required of the post. Qualifications
Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy HCPC Registration Evidence of relevant, specialised post graduate courses/CPD Knowledge of appropriate clinical guidelines – Local and National MSc or equivalent level of specialist knowledge and experience Experience
Significant experience within relevant specialties, including acute and community paediatrics (neuro/ortho/respiratory) at band 6 level Experience of managing a team of staff Experience of working within healthcare systems Extensive experience working within the specialist field Experience of working alongside GPs/Consultants and MDT members Skills
Ability to use highly specialised clinical reasoning skills to determine differential diagnosis, independent of other Practitioners, in an expert area of practice Coaching/mentoring/presentation/instructing/class taking skills Ability to work efficiently and effectively within a team environment Personal Qualities
Self-motivated and capable of motivating others Able to set priorities and deliver against targets Ability to work collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team Circumstances
