Are you an experienced leader with a passion for managing teams, navigating change, and driving operational excellence? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy problem-solving complex issues? We have an exciting opportunity to lead a specialist administrative team on a hybrid work pattern - 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home - for a 12-month assignment.

About the Role

As the Team Leader, you'll be at the heart of the business mission to regulate products in a dynamic and evolving environment. This role places you in a leadership position, managing a team of up to 15 skilled individuals responsible for application-related activities governed by strict targets and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide line management and leadership, ensuring your team is motivated, performing effectively, and prioritising their wellbeing. Quickly familiarise yourself with team workflows, triage procedural issues, and implement solutions to optimise performance. Oversee day-to-day business-as-usual (BAU) work, freeing up the Head of Team to focus on strategic projects. Lead the implementation of new legislation within the team and across the wider business. Champion compliance with ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 27001 (information security), GDPR, and record management standards.

About You

We're looking for a natural leader who is adaptable, analytical, and excels under pressure. Strong management and leadership skills are essential.

Your Skills & Experience: Proven experience in staff management and motivation, including navigating complex and high-pressure environments. Strong operational delivery experience, capable of juggling priorities and multitasking effectively. A confident communicator skilled in facilitating difficult conversations and driving corporate initiatives. Change management expertise, ensuring business and people readiness. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, especially Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

You’ll thrive in this role if you: Can problem-solve, prioritise, and think on your feet. Have sound analytical skills and think creatively to address challenges. Embrace continuous improvement and adapt flexibly to evolving situations. Demonstrate resilience and a proportionate approach when navigating ambiguity.

Why Join the team? Be part of a pivotal team, contributing to critical regulatory work in an evolving landscape. Enjoy a hybrid working pattern, combining office collaboration with home-based flexibility.

This is your chance to lead a team making a meaningful impact on the regulations during a time of change and innovation.
