Team Leader for the Systems Chemistry and Compatibility Team
in the Systems Group which is part of Materials and Analytical Science. The team provides the expertise and capabilities to deliver system-level materials assessments that underpin the UK's nuclear deterrent and support national security. The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of scientists and technicians responsible for developing requirements and delivering capabilities for material, component, and sub-system assessments, tests, and trials. You will be accountable for delivering the functional capability and demand to the future programme requirements, applying the sub-function's strategy, and providing effective guidance as the main contact point for team members. You will be responsible for maintaining a technical capability that delivers critical skills and resources aligned to business requirements to deliver the integrated technical programme. A degree in a scientific, STEM discipline or equivalent experience is essential. Knowledge of the technical area or a strong scientific background is desirable.
