We’re looking for a Tech Lead to join our team at Futurice UK. As Tech Lead, you care deeply about the success of the team and enjoy the role of mentor to more junior members of the team to help upskill them. You help contribute to a culture of continuous learning and sharing by giving your own opinions and seeking out the perspectives of others. Does this sound like you? You’re a technical product expert, with an eye for user experience and the latest technology trends; helping clients and teams alike understand why certain features, architecture, and technologies should be chosen. You’re stack agnostic with extensive knowledge of both front and back development that covers the full delivery cycle. Technical skills

You are equally comfortable with frontend and backend technologies along with their infrastructure. You might have a preference or even a specialty in one of them; however, we'd expect you to be flexible and work across the whole stack. You still enjoy working hands-on in the code and are focused on delivery goals. Collaboration

You enjoy collaborating with designers and product owners to innovate and devise great technical solutions to meet user needs. Familiar with Agile, Waterfall, and other delivery methodologies. You know all the aspects of building software and can support junior members of the team. You can help teams focus on project goals to reach the best delivery outcome. Attitude and preferences

Whether it's JavaScript frameworks, APIs, databases, or DevOps - web is your thing! To you, a browser is not just a rendering tool, it's your medium of choice. Eager to learn and grow in collaboration with wonderfully nice and extremely talented people, mostly in small, cross-functional teams. What you will be responsible for: Finding the best technical solution for the problem and helping articulate it to clients. Implementing complex, multi-layered services using a modern application stack such as ReactJS/Typescript for the frontend and Node.js for the backend. Building products with an eye for user experience and helping clients understand why certain features and technologies should be chosen. Mentoring and coaching more junior members of the team to help upskill them. Contributing to a high-functioning tech team culture, sharing your expertise and learning from others. Active contributor to project delivery activities to ensure technical risk is managed - this includes release planning, estimation, capacity planning, and retrospectives. Creating team momentum to help drive through uncertainty while keeping the project within a time/budget envelope and actively managing risks. Helping Futurice clients learn from our agile approach and embed it within their organizations. At Futurice UK, we believe that our people are our greatest asset. When you join us as a

A tiered parental leave policy, which offers 16 weeks maternity full pay and 6 weeks partner full pay (dependent on your tenure). A learning budget of £1200 per year for self-initiated learning, books, and training courses. EV salary sacrifice (dependent on your tenure). A flexible wellbeing budget of £50 per month (via a Juno platform subscription). A remote-first setup with two days per month to co-work together in London.
