25,000 - 30,000 plus bonus and pension Benefits Package: Profit-related bonus Free parking Opportunities for external training An exciting opportunity with a successful company currently recruiting for a tech sales assistant in their Newport site. As a tech sales assistant, you will be supporting and liaising with clients to help sell products manufactured on-site, adapting their design to fit the bespoke needs of the client. You will have opportunities to use CAD packages to design and manufacture the products discussed with clients, overseeing the process in a multi-faceted manner. Role & Responsibilities: Liaise with clients regarding product design requests - essential to have a strong mechanical engineering background to understand the product development involved in this position. Adapt standard products using CAD packages (Inventor and Autodesk) to meet clients' bespoke needs. A varied position - predominantly tech sales focused but other responsibilities will include admin tasks, CAD usage, and sometimes manufacturing products on the shop floor. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: A recognised qualification in mechanical engineering (HNC/HND/NVQ/BEng) Experience with CAD (Autodesk and Inventor) Understanding of ISO 9001, 18001, 45001 & auditing Tech sales experience - preferred Experience within a manufacturing company (ideally heavy industry/steel) - preferred This position is perfect for someone who is willing to throw themselves into a role and is motivated to learn and upscale their skills.
