Your new role This is a key role in the Senior Finance Management Team, and you will work with the Strategic Finance Manager to lead their Technical Accounting team of two direct reports, on all financial and technical accounting projects and, in particular, take responsibility for the year-end financial accounts, the production of the annual published financial statements and all capital and treasury matters. In addition, you will work on several strategic projects to ensure that they have the best practices in place and work towards their centre of excellence goals. What you'll need to succeed You will be a professional and enthusiastic person who is ready for a new challenge to help take the team and processes to the next level. You will be a qualified accountant or QBE, who has comprehensive experience of financial processes. You should be familiar with the CIPFA Code of Practice for Accounting in local authorities, and the capital and prudential frameworks for local authorities.
