SFS UK - Division Construction currently has an opportunity for a Technical Advisor to join our team in Welwyn Garden City. Reporting to the Technical Manager and based within our Technical Team, the position is ideal for a dynamic professional with a 'can do' attitude.

Objectives

Achieve expected departmental service level to internal and external stakeholders Maintain all stakeholder relationships Develop new ideas and strategies to improve departmental performance Understand industry trends and identify areas in which SFS Technical can further align and lead to differentiate in the market Be an active member of the team to help challenge and change the way SFS provide technical support to increase our value added and service leveraging smart tools/solutions Be the centre of technical knowledge for our product range and application which underpins our commercial activity and know-how

Principal duties

Answering incoming Technical Queries received by phone or email for all UK revenue streams Provide technical support/advice to the Customer Services department Provide technical support/advice to the External Sales & Specification teams Provide technical support/advice to the RPMs Assist with the development of our eCommerce platform where required Ensure Pull-out Portal is kept up to date and allocation of requests are issued to the Site Technicians in a timely manner Assist/conduct practical internal product testing Assist/deliver where appropriate customer training and demonstrations for all UK revenue streams e.g. Flat Roofing, Roofing & Cladding, Sub Frame and Fall Protection Assist with all UK owned product line testing requirements - Sub Frame & Fall Protection Report and investigate any product complaints, this may include site visits Contribute to keeping an up to date technical library Assisting in any other ad hoc duties required when they arise Work as a collective unit covering absence and supporting others Keep equipment infinity log & ensure calibration requirements/dates are adhered to

Relevant qualifications and experience for the role Technical appreciation for product and application within construction Strong interpersonal skills both oral and written Demonstrates strong initiative and energy to succeed and deliver Understands the need for change and embraces with positive energy Capable of using numerous computer packages including Microsoft office An eye for detail and encourages change within the department Appreciation and understanding of CAD software
