We are currently recruiting for a Technical API Designer to be a part of our innovative Enterprise Integration team, to support projects that deliver Aviva's digitisation and automation journeys for customers across business domains such as Pensions, Investments, Wealth, General Insurance, and Customer. This is a phenomenal opportunity to work on big digital programmes for Aviva, on technology platforms that are innovative, using good tech and the opportunity to digitise customer journeys. This role could be ideal for you, if you are currently a Technical API Designer seeking a new challenge or a recent Computer Science graduate with an understanding of API integration.
A bit about the job: Working in a Scrum/Agile team, you will collaborate with a team of highly talented Domain Architects, Designers and Developers and be responsible for the creation of Awesome API Designs based on established resource & business models, identify gaps in API standards and data models and manage their delivery.
Skills and experience we're looking for: Knowledge of REST, JSON and API Design Standards and Layered Architecture principles, Async and Synchronous forms of data transfer Experience or good understanding with software modelling and component design Data modelling concepts including logical and physical modelling and gap analysis Microservice architecture and database design to support this methodology Technical Experience in the relevant technology stack e.g., Java, EKS and AWS, Messaging
