We're recruiting for an experienced technical sales professional to join our Inside Sales team in Godalming and who can be a knowledgeable and trusted source of information for our customers.
The role involves responding to sales enquiries, quickly and accurately, by confirming our customer's requirements and recommending which of our parts are most appropriate for their needs. Ideally, you will have previous experience of the HVACR industry but we are interested in anyone with a strong technical sales background and a desire to provide excellent customer service. This position will be ideal for anyone who thrives in a busy and fast-paced sales environment and who wants to expand their knowledge into a wide portfolio of specialist components. What You Will Be Doing
You will join an experienced sales team of 10 people, with additional support from our technical support team. You will be the first point of contact for a diverse range of engineering and purchasing customers, from sole traders to major manufacturers. Answer telephone sales calls and respond to email enquiries from new and existing customers. Generate quotations and process sales orders, reviewing demand to ensure that orders are accurately processed. Advise customers on alternative solutions, stock availability and lead times. Proactively manage any questions or issues, liaising with our technical support team as required. Build customer relationships and rapport to ensure customer retention through excellent telephone skills. Target and identify new potential business opportunities. Experience and Skills Required
Three years experience in a similar customer service or sales role. Ability to work calmly and with good humour under pressure. High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail. Can-do adaptable attitude to challenges. Customer-focused approach with excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent time management & personal organisational skills. Comfortable with communicating with customers at all levels of opportunity. Desire to develop a strong technical understanding. Previous experience of technical components, wholesale or HVACR businesses would be an advantage, although full product training will be provided. What We Offer
In-house technical training on a continuous basis. Dress down Friday. 4pm finish on Friday. 23 days holiday (including full Christmas break).
