You will support business and IT solutions and optimisation through platform improvement and operate as an expert in distributed software systems and integration patterns. You will use e-commerce and transactional processing systems knowledge to oversee the platform technology approach, technical debt and development. You will report to the Senior IT Architect and be based in the UK. This role is remote friendly. You Will: Improve future state technology architecture

Design and implement technical infrastructure for the Association. Assess the current infrastructure and propose enhancements. Help find solutions for technology programmes. Manage the technical debt.

Analyse and evaluate technology

Assist analysts, project managers and executives by aligning technical implementation with solutions and requirements. Provide recommendations to address potential threats. Craft and uphold technical architectural blueprints and standards that direct the development of technological solutions. Establish a library of architectural resources.

Deliver outcomes by leading team collaboration

Contribute to professional development programmes and share knowledge throughout the IT team. Develop relationships with technology implementation teams and service providers.

You Have: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience. 5+ years design and implementation experience in IT in areas such as infrastructure and network design, application development, application programming interfaces (APIs), middleware, servers and storage, database management and operations, clustering technologies, virtualization, cloud technologies or Active Directory and protocols. Understanding of system development life cycle methodologies (e.g., waterfall, spiral, Agile software development, rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronise and stabilise, and DevOps). Knowledge of computer hardware and networking systems. Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, React, Java etc. Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). Experience in Technical or Application Architecture, application development and systems management. Experience with software, hardware, architecture frameworks, and corporate technology and trends (e.g., IOT, ETL, cloud architectures, AWS, ERP, and Headless Commerce). Experience in Governance.
