This is a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Architect to join a well-established Managed Services Provider as they continue to grow their solutions teams.

You will provide strategic consultancy services, helping clients improve their business and promote using hybrid cloud, modern workplace, and security technologies. You will collaborate with the Solution Architecture and Project Management teams to create detailed designs to meet the client's requirements and translate these designs into functioning solutions where needed. You will also perform comprehensive assessments of the client's existing IT services and transform the findings into detailed reports that can assist with identifying key improvement opportunities and understanding the roadmap for applying them.

Role Responsibilities:

Work with the Solution Architecture team to provide a detailed Cost Model during the proposal stage of a client engagement.

Assist the Solution Architecture team in workshops during the sales engagement by providing subject matter expertise around specific technologies.

Perform technical discovery assessments to gain comprehensive insights into client environments.

Conduct peer review analysis of SOWs and Cost Models.

Act as the technical authority and provide oversight, governance and ownership of large and complex transformation projects.

Perform Technical Account Management and contribute to strategy roadmaps for allocated clients.

Create technical high-level and low-level design documentation of solutions as required, ensuring that technical consultants follow industry best practices and vendor architecture principles during implementation.

Translate the solution design into Technical Architecture documentation.

Conduct technical design workshops as part of the post-sale design phase of a project.

Perform scoping activities and create the Project Scope, outlining the deliverables of the project.

Assist the Project Management Office with the translation of the deliverables into a Project Plan as required.

Present the Technical Architecture collateral to the client alongside the Project Management Office to facilitate scheduling of the project.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Technical Consulting team throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.

Person Requirements:

Demonstrate an ability to lead a project team, guiding them through complex projects and ensuring successful outcomes.

Have a deep knowledge and understanding of technical complexities and migration methodologies, with a proven track record in successfully delivering complex enterprise-level engagements.

Demonstrate expertise in leading customer meetings, engaging in technical whiteboarding sessions, and meticulously documenting environment information.

Proven track record in technical architecture engagements and the successful low-level design of solutions.

Ideally have experience working within an IT Services organisation, being responsible for multiple projects at one time.

Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace & Entra ID

Windows Server OS

Active Directory and Group Policy

Microsoft Configuration Manager / SCCM

Microsoft Exchange on-premises / DAG

Desirable Experience:

Virtualisation technologies (VMware / Hyper-V)

Datacentre Compute, Networking & Storage solutions

Corporate wireless solutions

Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions

Further Role & Package Details:

Hybrid-based position – home-based, fortnightly onsite in Gloucestershire and on average 1-2 days per week on customer sites throughout the UK.

The role will sit in between Technical Consultancy and Solution Architects, being the technical authority with customer projects.

Package – up to £70,000 basic plus £5,000 bonus, company car.

Must be able to commute once per fortnight to Gloucestershire and work on average 1-2 days on customer sites throughout the UK.
