About the role

We are looking for a Technical Artist to drive forward cutting-edge visuals, provide technical guidance and define art workflow and pipelines. They will be the bridge between the art and code departments and will work with the teams to further personal development, mentoring and peer critiquing. They will help to build an excellent creative environment, fostering self-improvement and ownership, whilst establishing pipelines and processes that empower discovery whilst refining intuitive, aspirational, awe-inspiring games. The rundown: Permanent role. Full-time (37.5 hours per week). Fully remote within the UK. The salary for this role is competitive and dependent on experience. Key responsibilities: Performance and accountability – a commitment and focus to producing work of the highest standard to time and budget. Communication and relationships – ability to work collaboratively with the wider team at elevation. Ability to troubleshoot in cross-discipline areas that fall into their experience, including lighting, VFX, and Environment Art. A strong set of core skills - including a strong understanding of developing performant shaders in Unreal, an understanding of Niagara’s particle system-VFV optimizations, as well as optimizing systems and structures within game engines for different platforms. Requirements About you

The skills you’ll need: Experience in Unreal & Shader Graph Experience in Maya/Blender Experience in HLSL A degree or equivalent qualification & at least 4 years of experience in real-time game development. Continuously improving - application of this to continuously learn and innovate in their discipline. Problem solving - application of this to solve complex Technical Art problems. The nice to haves: Experience in Photoshop/Substance Scripting in Python Knowledge in C++ Benefits About Us
