About the Technical Assistant job
The purpose of your role will be to work with the line manager to develop and maintain a food safety and quality assurance program, ensuring the company’s products are safe, legal, and meet or exceed customer expectations.
Key tasks
Conduct internal and external audits, including GMP and metal detection, while documenting non-conformances and ensuring compliance with the quality manual.
Perform product testing, environmental swabbing, and staff training on quality and safety, and liaise with pest control contractors as needed.
Manage health and safety tasks, including reporting near misses, overseeing equipment calibration, and ensuring certification compliance.
Investigate complaints, identify root causes, log non-conformances, and monitor and report KPIs to the management team.
About You
The successful candidate should possess a food science degree or have a similar QA/Technical background.
HACCP Level 3 would be advantageous. Some experience in conducting internal audits would be desirable.
A driving license is desirable but not essential.
