Technical Technologist - Hybrid fmcg Manufacturing Up to 35,000 per annum Halstead, Essex Our market leading manufacturing client are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Specialist to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Food Science / Related or have at least 2 years in a similar technical role within FMCG manufacturing. The role involves managing raw materials, products, packaging and supplier information which covers safety, quality and legality of products to ensure the business follows in accordance of their Quality system and customer requirements. Responsibilities Supplier approval and Supplier Assurance progress for new and existing products, communicating final approval to new suppliers Track and request ingredient and packaging specifications, approval documents and certification of suppliers Maintain raw material and packaging materials, risk assessments, approved supplier list Support Technical projects from NPD to product launch with the Technical Team Support investigations for customer complaints Participate in company's QMS to the review and maintenance of documentation and records Qualifications Degree or equivalent in Food Science or related discipline. Proven experience in a technical support role or similar position. Experience working within Food Industry with suppliers, packaging suppliers, supplier approval. Proven planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage projects. Understanding of technical systems such as HACCP, supplier management, BRC, retailer standards, audits, code of practices.
