About the Technical Assistant job The purpose of your role will be to support the Technical Manager in order to develop and maintain a food safety and quality assurance program, ensuring the company’s products are safe, legal, and meet or exceed customer expectations. Key tasks Conduct internal and external audits while documenting non-conformances and ensuring compliance with the quality manual. Perform product testing, environmental swabbing, and staff training on quality and safety, and liaise with pest control contractors as needed. Investigate complaints, identify root causes, log non-conformances, and monitor and report KPIs to the management team. Help write and maintain product specifications. About You You might already have food manufacturing experience within a quality or technical capacity, or you might be a recent Graduate in a food or science related subject - or even a combination of both! This role offers a fantastic opportunity to start a career path in the technical side of food manufacturing so you will need to be enthusiastic, responsible and have a decent level of education to cover maths, English and science, plus be computer literate. More details The Technical Assistant job is based in Plymouth and is paying £30,000 according to your experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, office hours but with some flexibility here.
