Technical Author CUMBRIA TEMPORARY 1 YEAR+
VGC Group Limited are looking to recruit a Technical Author on a temporary 1-year+ contract for an international infrastructure group delivering the UK s power generation solutions based in Cumbria.
You will play a key part of the team working on one of the most important construction projects on site looking to safely design and deliver requirements in line with the needs of the Client.

GBP29.86ph PAYE

42-hours per week (8 hours per day)
Accountabilities
Develop a comprehensive set of professionally produced Operation and Maintenance (O&M) documents within specified deadlines.
Analyse engineering, design, and vendor information to create System Overview Documents (Volume B) and compile Vendor documents (Volume D).
Report directly to the Commissioning Support Manager.
Provide regular weekly updates on progress.
Participate in progress meetings to review project status.
Verify compliance requirements within Commissioning Test Documents.
Prioritise safety as the foremost concern on the project, maintaining a commitment to achieving Zero Harm.
Ensure quality standards and consistency are upheld across all documentation produced.
Foster a collaborative project environment in alignment with the Collaborative Working Plan.
Requirements
Previous Technical Author experience
Minimum HNC in an appropriate discipline
Nuclear background
Must be eligible to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
Computer literate Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel and Visio
IOSH working / managing safely is essential
