As a Technical Author, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of engineering documentation, contributing to projects that make a real-world impact. What You Will Do: Develop and maintain technical documentation within the engineering team, ensuring clarity and accuracy. Provide document time estimations for effective scheduling and budgeting. Conduct research, including reading source material and engaging with team members, to gather necessary information. Write, review, and edit documentation adhering to department standards and procedures. Create and coordinate illustrations, working with graphic designers when necessary. Offer periodic status reports to the Engineering Lead, ensuring smooth progress on documentation projects. What You Will Bring: A minimum of 3 years experience in technical documentation, particularly in maintenance, operations, and troubleshooting. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Technical Writing, or a related field; or a technical secondary education with significant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with familiarity in CAD software such as SolidWorks being advantageous. Excellent command of technical English, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation. A detail-oriented approach, capable of multi-tasking and working under pressure in a dynamic environment.
