We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Technical Author to join a team of experts in delivering next-generation technology solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking organisation known for its innovation and reliability. Overview: The Technical Author will be responsible for producing and maintaining technical documentation, including operating manuals, maintenance guides, detailed specifications, and spare parts lists. The role also involves ensuring documentation is consistent with company standards, delivered within agreed timelines, and optimised for the end users. Key Responsibilities of the Technical Author: Create, update, and maintain technical documentation such as:

Operating manuals Maintenance manuals Detailed specifications Spare parts lists

Administer and maintain internal technical documentation systems. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to gather and verify technical details. Ensure all documentation adheres to company standards for format, clarity, and usability. Utilise and manipulate CAD systems (e.g., CATIA Composer, CREO Illustrate) to support documentation. Edit and optimise graphics using tools like Photoshop or PaintShop for use in documentation. Translate technical concepts into accessible language for a variety of audiences. Manage multiple projects, prioritising tasks effectively to meet deadlines. Essential Qualifications and Skills: HNC/HND in Engineering or a related field. An excellent standard of written English. Strong computer literacy, with experience in technical documentation tools. Motivated, flexible, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Engineering background, ideally with experience in machine tools. Technical writing experience. Familiarity with CAD systems, preferably CATIA Composer and/or CREO Illustrate. Basic proficiency in French and German. Experience with graphics manipulation software such as Photoshop or PaintShop.
