We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our Enterprise Data Solutions team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, business intelligence, and data management. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs, translating those needs into actionable insights, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, analytics-ready data sets. OVERVIEW: The Enterprise Data Solutions team provides Skillsoft with the data backbone needed to seamlessly connect systems and enable data-driven business insights through democratized and analytics-ready data sets. Our mission is to: Deliver analytics-ready data sets that enhance business insights, drive decision making, and foster a culture of data-driven innovation. Set a gold standard for process, collaboration, and communication. OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS: Engage with stakeholders to understand needs, gather feedback, and ensure correct requirements for development work. Understand context of data and develop test cases for test driven development. Participate in solution design discussions, review functional specifications, and validate proposed solutions against business requirements. Work with our squad leads on defining work and creating agile stories to execute on. Independently work with partner teams to drive business decisions by analyzing available market, customer, and user data; delivering recommendations for how to leverage insights from data; delivering regular performance reports; providing other valuable quantitative research and information to customers all the way to Executive Team. Support our partners with dashboards and ad hoc analysis to drive deeper insights into the organization and identify levers of financial and operational improvements. Autonomously uncover deep insights about learner behaviors and customer engagement and collaborate with Product, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing departments to increase the effectiveness of our products by putting these insights into action. Understand and assess data quality and reliability. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and business intelligence. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field – engineering, finance, data science, statistics, economics, or other quantitative. 2-5 years of analytical experience. Ability to independently plan and iterate on assignments to arrive at appropriate deliverables (dashboard, analysis, recommendation set, etc) to address partner business needs. Ability to establish subject matter expertise in an assigned business area in order to provide key actionable recommendations to business partners. Analytical skills: outstanding analytical and creative problem-solving abilities, experience in developing deep analytical insights about users of digital products and services. Technical skills: SQL, Python, knowledge of engineering concepts like ETL/ELT. Self-starter with sense of urgency to drive and implement insights.
