The Opportunity:

Avantor

is looking for a field-based Technical Service Business Manager to join our team and focus on Equipment Services for our Customers.

The Technical Service Business Manager is responsible for the promotion, sales and contract renewals of the department's portfolio of products and services and the achievement of annual sales and gross margin targets as set.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance) To create and develop ongoing business relationships with customers and to grow and develop new opportunities for the department's range of products and services Generates all quotations for service provision to customers and follows up accordingly Offers and recommends Lab Asset Management to relevant third party accounts with the goal of increasing Avantor/VWR's market share in this key area Develops, maintains and drives forward service campaigns in line with Technical Service strategy Achieves all annual growth and sales target margins as set Regularly provides, liaises and updates Account Managers on opportunities available on sites that are currently availing of Avantor/VWR technical services Submits detailed weekly report outlining progress with current customers and future prospects In conjunction with Manager, sets, agrees and takes ownership of goals as per annual review process Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications) Certificate in Business Studies preferable but not essential Minimum of 3 years experience in a Technical Service capacity

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently) Excellent communication skills and customer facing skills, e.g., comfortable giving presentations and organising and leading conference calls Target driven team player IT Literate - competent with MS Office Suite of products and SAP essential Excellent time management skills Fully versed in use and application of Avantor/VWR internal IS systems, e.g., Workday, SAP & C4C Self motivated and ability to work without need for constant supervision Keeps up to date with technological advancements in field of expertise
