Ashford, Staines . About our client: The market leader in High Tech Logistics solutions & a trusted partner to some of the leading global medical & technical product manufacturers. About the role: As a Tech Centre Team Leader you will be required to assist and support the UK Service & Installation Manager & Installation Manager with the day-to-day planning and overall supervision of Tech Centre operations including the allocation of work to the technical warehouse operatives. Ensure Radiation Protection Supervisor responsibilities are in place within the team and relevant qualification and training requirements are facilitated. Maintain and Enforce Radiation Procedure – including the X-ray badge reports and processing. Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the technical warehouse operatives, making the most efficient use of resources available, both staff and space. Demonstrate a high level of accuracy for updating systems and records. Assist the team with reporting any defects or missing items to the Operations team and follow the escalation process for performance issues, updating tracker reports. Constantly review processes and systems and recommend improvements and changes. Organise all activities & assign jobs accordingly for staff. Assist in managing stock control: goods receipt, storage, retrieval and timely picking of goods, shipment loading & transferring, document recording to include consumable orders and tracking. Adhere to the company’s Health & Safety policy at all times. Maintain the standards of the company as defined in ISO9001 and ISO14001. In addition to your normal duties, you may be required to undertake other duties in line with the needs of the business and flexibility should be recognised as paramount to the role. You may on occasion be required to work in other Rhenus sites as workload dictates. Two years’ experience as a Senior Warehouse Operator in a high value, high tech environment is preferred. Excellent IT knowledge and warehouse systems knowledge essential. Commercially astute with direct customer service experience of working closely with customers on a regular basis. Good general level of education. Good team member who can also work on own initiative. A Flexible and can-do attitude. Good organisation and communication skills. Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
