Technical Compliance Manager's Role We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team as a Technical Compliance Manager, working closely with the Group Technical Manager to uphold and enhance food safety standards. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with all internal, customer, and regulatory requirements, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Technical Compliance Manager's Key Responsibilities Food Allergen Management: Support the Technical Manager in developing and maintaining allergen management protocols in line with industry standards. Internal Audits and Training: Manage internal audit programmes and deliver training to ensure compliance is embedded at all operational levels, including factory-line processes. Compliance Framework: Create and maintain a robust compliance framework to ensure the site is consistently “audit-ready.” Food Law and Regulatory Expertise: Serve as the site expert on food law, ensuring alignment with emerging regulations and group policies. Customer Specifications and Document Control: Lead the management of customer specifications, ensuring alignment with retailer compliance platforms. Testing and Monitoring: Oversee product and environmental testing, ensuring customer testing frequencies are met and detailed records are maintained. Environmental Sampling: Manage environmental sampling schedules, ensuring swabbing activities are performed and updated as required. Data Management: Collate and trend routine test data, providing insights to the Technical Manager and sharing with customers as needed. Non-Compliance Reporting: Promptly report out-of-specification results and ensure corrective actions are documented. Certificates of Conformance/Analysis: Manage and control the issuance of customer certificates. Allergen Risk Assessments: Ensure allergen risk assessments are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with industry and customer standards. Quality Management System (QMS): Implement and maintain the QMS to reflect current legal and customer requirements, including detailed procedures and line-level training.

Technical Compliance Manager's Person Spec We are looking for a driven and experienced professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have: Experience: A minimum of 4 years in a food manufacturing or technical role. Proven technical management experience is essential. Qualifications: Level 3 HACCP and Level 3 Food Safety (minimum). Skills: Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (HACCP, BRCGS, GMP, etc.), with excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to technical challenges. Auditing Expertise: Demonstrable internal audit experience. IT Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and other relevant tools. Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to Quality: A passion for maintaining high standards and driving continuous improvement.
