Being part of a dedicated team deploying NEC Software Solutions (NEC SWS) into sites across the UK, Ireland, Europe and beyond. Job Activity & Responsibilities:

Build, commission, and upgrade activities for NEC SWS DSX (ICCS), Vision & ControlWorks (CAD) product solutions. Technical issue resolution of NEC SWS product suite of solution/s at both hardware and software levels. When required, create, review and update NEC SWS Engineering documentation, for example workplans, work instructions, and technical guides. Presentation of technical solutions to internal and external audiences. Provide technical assurance across multiple projects via gated review meetings and further interactions with all stakeholders such as technical sales / support and engineering. On occasion, the role holder will be asked to evaluate new product hardware and software in accordance with the product roadmap. The role can involve extensive customer contact on both a technical and non-technical level requiring a professional and adaptable approach to communication, interaction & service. The role involves a high level of autonomous working which expects a high standard of personal time and task management. Complete all activities within set deadlines and report appropriately any difficulties to achieve delivery milestones. Present a professional approach and attitude to all work undertaken. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK. Documentary evidence will be required. Ideally educated to HND/HNC level or relevant industry experience with a number of years proven experience in comparable roles. Experience within IT focused server & client-based environments. Experienced in troubleshooting and problem solving. Proven experience administering and working with Microsoft Windows client & server architecture (Windows 10, up to Server 2019 and beyond), primarily using DELL / HP hardware. A good understanding of Microsoft Active Directory / domain architecture. Great interpersonal communication and presentation skills. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Experience using design and documentation tools e.g. MS Visio, also using MS Applications including Excel, Word. A very high standard of written communication. Proven experience deploying Microsoft Windows and server Operating systems. Working knowledge of MySQL/MSSQL (running backups, running queries, etc). Proven knowledge and experience of virtualization environments (Hyper-V or VMware). Excellent customer service skills. Proven experience working to ITIL best practices.
