As we scale our growing consulting capability, we're looking for a Technical Consulting Director to help us expand our consulting portfolio, guiding Clients on their transformation journeys. You will be an early member of the team, instrumental in setting up this new capability and its growth strategy.

The right person will have deep expertise in at least one area of technology, alongside a broad experience of all digital technology and the full range of digital transformation. You will have proven leadership skills and the ability to turn your experiences into impactful stories for our clients. This is a style of consultancy grounded in lived experience which you can share with our Clients and our teams to elevate understanding and improve outcomes.

You’ll apply your extensive consulting experience to develop a deep understanding of Clients’ technology landscape, business challenges and goals and will use that understanding to help solve their most complex problems. You will provide strategic guidance, customised to each clients’ unique goals, taking a pragmatic approach to balancing the best technical solution with the strongest business outcome.

What You’ll Be Doing

Empower Clients: Build trusted relationships and offer thought leadership that inspires confidence and drives digital evolution. Drive Growth: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft compelling proposals and capitalise on new opportunities. Coach and Inspire: Foster a culture of excellence, raising the bar for teams and transformational leaders while mentoring technical leads. Partner with Senior Leaders: Collaborate with executives and decision-makers to advance their digital instincts, focusing on technology’s role in their success. Shape Transformations: Assess and elevate digital and technical maturity, guide complex legacy migrations, and design scalable, sustainable digital roadmaps. Influence and Inspire: Communicate with clarity and authority across diverse audiences, including C-suite executives and technical teams. Deliver Results: Take a pragmatic, outcomes-driven approach to ensure your recommendations create lasting impact.

Visionary Leadership: Proven ability to lead digital transformation in complex environments, guiding teams and shaping operational strategy. Technical Acumen: Extensive experience with managing mission-critical systems, scaling technical delivery, and navigating the challenges of large technology estates. Strategic Growth: A commercial mindset to identify opportunities and build lasting client partnerships that drive mutual success. Agile Evangelism: Passion for user-centred, value-based outcomes, and the ability to champion agile methodologies to deliver impactful change.

As this is a hybrid role we’re looking for people within a commuting distance of our hub locations ( Edinburgh/Leeds/Manchester/London)

and who are flexible to travel to client sites and CreateFuture regional offices. We are very flexible and trust you to manage your own schedule to balance face-to-face time with clients, colleagues and working from home.
