Technical / Design Manager - RC Frame Residential Developer
Location: Hampstead, NW London
Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 + Private Healthcare + Bonus + Excellent Package + Progression
Overview: A leading RC frame residential developer is seeking a skilled Technical / Design Manager to oversee and deliver technical designs from concept to detailed construction packages. This role requires ensuring statutory compliance, managing design processes, and achieving project goals efficiently and within budget.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver technical designs and ensure statutory approvals are met per project requirements. Programme and organise design activities to meet project timelines. Arrange tenders, appoint design teams, and monitor consultant performance and fees. Chair design team meetings, managing all technical design matters from pre-planning to completion. Liaise with site teams, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve design and compliance issues. Oversee compliance with Planning, S106, S278, Building Regulations, BREEAM, and sustainability targets. Conduct value engineering and optimisation exercises to maximise project value. Manage specialist subcontractor designs, ensuring alignment with Employer Requirements and planning approvals. Facilitate site planning, logistics, RFI management, and technical submittals. Provide coaching to Design Coordinators/Managers and support commercial and construction teams in achieving project goals.
