MacGregor Recruitment are specialist recruiters for the UK Fenestration sector, and we have a fantastic career opportunity for a Technical Director.
Our client are an established and successful manufacture and supply business within the window and door sector. Their operations include extruding uPVC profile, and fabricating and supplying a wide range of windows and doors to customers across the UK.
A key part of the senior leadership team, as Technical Director you will provide the technical expertise and strategic leadership to the business with regards to product quality, and product and system innovations and development. A subject matter expert with regards to the window and door sector, planning regulations and product performance.
Please note that the role is anticipated as primarily home based with occasional travel to site, so the location of the successful candidate is flexible and applicants from across the UK will be considered.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Extensive senior level technical experience and knowledge gained specifically within the Fenestration sector is essential
- uPVC extrusion and window/door design & fabrication expereicne is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge and experience relating to product development, supporting design and technical teams from concept to bringing products to market
- A thorough understanding of the relevant regulations & legislation
- Commerciality and a broad understanding of market trends
- Strong people and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal customers, external parties and customers
- Organisational, time management and project management skills
- Candidates must have relevant work to right in the UK documentation and have fenestration based experience.
Remuneration will be highly competitive, commesurate with skills and experience.
