Working within the Design function of the Network Build team we are looking for a Technical GIS Support Engineer to join us on a 6-9 month FTC. You will assist in maintaining existing GIS systems and critical datasets, developing automation, and supporting migration projects. What you will be doing Maintain and develop a data pipeline helping to scale the platform to handle streaming data from 1000s of devices. Support our data analytics team in the automation of analysis. Participate in regular team meetings such as stand-ups, team planning sessions, after-action reviews, and briefs. Support applications with an understanding of system integration, test planning, scripting, troubleshooting, and implementing resolutions. Identify improvement areas with options and recommended approaches, implementing agreed continuous improvement activities. Develop high-quality and reliable code for a range of software systems and applications in line with expected delivery. Analyse component and application performance using various programming languages, tools, and techniques, assessing the health and performance of software applications and databases. Person Specification Previous experience in a similar role. Practical Application in delivery of Pipeline /Data Flow. Knowledge of Data Mining, Data manipulation, Real-time Data. Knowledge of Python, SQL, Javascript, HTML, CSS. Degree qualification in relevant logic-based subjects is preferable but not essential. Test Driven Development. The benefits at APF...
