Technical Lead

role is a fully customer-facing position which involves overseeing the architecture/design, engineering processes, and implementation for client projects. In line with our principles as a modern tech consultancy, a Technical Lead is expected to maintain a high degree of familiarity with the latest developments across a broad set of technologies whilst also being an expert practitioner, capable of hands-on engineering, in their favored tools and languages. As they are responsible for the overall quality of what we produce, they must be familiar with common architecture and design patterns for Cloud engineering, data management, and service layers. The Technical Lead is usually not only responsible for their own output but that of a wider engineering team. As such, they must be able to create and shape an engineering ecosystem which is conducive to high-quality production. This involves setting up the best ways of working (elaboration of requirements, pair programming, QA approaches) and utilizing the best tooling (CI/CD, automation, developer environments). Whilst the Technical Lead must be able to act largely independently, they benefit from participation in our central technical quality forums and communities which enable them to leverage the skills and experiences of a wider set of practitioners. Key Skills

Experience developing modern tech stacks and cloud platforms. Capable of engineering in front-end languages and libraries e.g. React, Vue, Flutter. Proficiency in back-end languages e.g. C#, Java, Python, Node, Go. The ability to write maintainable, reliable, and testable code. Good knowledge of data storage tools, design, and security. Broad experience across a variety of CI/CD and test automation tools. A passion for recent/current/emerging tech trends with a hobbyist understanding e.g. AI/ML, IoT, edge computing, Blockchain. Strong working knowledge and the ability to embody agile principles. First-class people skills and emotional intelligence. Ability to cultivate strong stakeholder relationships. Good communication and teamwork skills. Willing to embrace complexity and uncertainty. An analytical mind and good attention to detail. We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation, or age.
