Job Title: Technical Lead Location: Cheshire East Employment Type: Full Time Salary: Competitive A hugely up-and-coming client of mine is looking for a capable, committed and hungry candidate, ready to take on leadership of technical teams in their SaaS and Retail Software. With growing international clients, and constant business evolution, this role will be responsible for driving technical development and delivery of a newly replenished application. You will oversee the full technology stack, with a focus on scaling the MVP, optimising performance and ensuring robust integration with Microsoft Azure. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring a balance of strategic thinking and technical expertise. You will be reporting to the CTO. Key responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

Lead the end-to-end technical development of the Ionic App, React Web App, and Azure backend. Architecture & Design:

Define scalable architecture, ensuring robust performance for a large number of customers across the FMCG supply chain. Development:

Contribute to the development of the application, writing high-quality, maintainable code. Team Management:

Eventually, as we grow you will be mentoring and leading a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Initially, you will be managing an outsourced development team. Azure Integration:

Oversee and optimise the integration of backend services on Microsoft Azure, ensuring security, reliability, and scalability. AWS is also nice to have. Device Optimisation:

Ensure the app runs efficiently on Zebra Android devices, considering the unique requirements of FMCG environments. Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work closely with the product manager, CTO and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals. Code Reviews & Best Practices:

Drive code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure adherence to industry standards. Essential experience:

5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role. Expertise in

Ionic Framework

and

React , with hands-on experience building scalable apps. Strong knowledge of

Microsoft Azure , including Azure Functions, App Services, and DevOps pipelines. Experience developing Android apps, preferably for

Zebra devices

or similar hardware. Understanding of FMCG supply chain processes and replenishment workflows (or a strong desire to learn). Proficiency in RESTful APIs and modern software architecture principles. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Strong communication and team leadership abilities. Desired experience:

Experience with GenAI or automation in supply chain contexts. Knowledge of native Android development (Kotlin/Java). Familiarity with Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
