Technical Lead/Architect Initially until the end of March Remote 700 (Outside IR35)

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead/Architect, who has progressed through the ranks as a developer and possesses strong hands-on coding skills. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of taking a central role in technical discovery. This position requires an individual who can ask critical questions to identify needs, create simple functional prototypes during the discovery phase, and articulate the roles and resources necessary to advance these prototypes to the Alpha stage. Experience in early discovery and prototyping is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

Lead technical discussions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and objectives. Drive the technical discovery phase, ensuring clarity of needs and vision. Develop and iterate on functional prototypes to validate concepts and gather feedback. Analyse current systems and processes to identify improvement opportunities and inform the transformation roadmap. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and understanding of technical approaches and solutions. Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

Qualifications: Proven experience as a Technical Lead or Architect with a strong background in software development. Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks; hands-on coding experience is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and strategically. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in user journey mapping, prototyping, and transformation initiatives. Familiarity with digital and data office environments is a plus.
