Location: Royston Job Family: Maintenance / Engineering As the Technical Maintenance Planner, you will manage all planned maintenance activity for PGMS. You will plan and prepare for the successful completion of future maintenance work, producing requirements to facilitate short-term and medium-term planning. This includes communicating and liaising with production planning to ensure works are coordinated in conjunction with operational requirements. You will plan and organise non-routine maintenance activities, including periodic shutdowns, and schedule and organise resources (internal and external) including spares co-ordination. This role will report into the Lead Maintenance Planner. Platinum Group Metal Services (PGMS) is one of four businesses within Johnson Matthey, distributing, refining, and recycling precious metals and fabricating products using precious metals and related materials. The business unit also manufactures platinum group metals, minor metal compounds, organometallics, and fine metal powders for high technology applications, as well as providing a range of management services for platinum group metals. Your responsibilities: Proactively promote a positive Health & Safety culture and ensure adherence to JM policies (including HR/EHS/Security). Administer the Maintenance Planning Process as defined in the JM Maintenance Planning Procedure. Develop and issue the short (daily, weekly) maintenance plan for the PGMS. Manage scheduling activities for assets, e.g., resource requirements and availability, vendor readiness, materials availability, ensuring spare parts availability through spares co-ordination with stores. Perform detailed integrated planning and scheduling of simultaneous operations to avoid escalation of business risk. Work with operations and reliability engineers to continuously review plant performance, adapting maintenance plans where necessary to meet overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) targets. Collaborate with the Lead Maintenance Planner and wider maintenance team to seek opportunities to improve resource efficiencies. Requirements for the role: Experience in planning, scheduling, and co-ordination skills in a maintenance and project role. Ability to triage issues and prioritise based on results. Ability to communicate effectively, allowing others to see all opportunities available to them, and the ability to listen/simplify requests from operations. Good knowledge of Asset Management Systems (CMMS).
