About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager to join our team on an initial 12 month FTC. The Technical Manager will play a pivotal role in upholding the integrity, quality and authenticity of our award-winning food products. In this role you will provide specialised insights and essential guidance on all technical and quality matters. Key Responsibilities Provide specialist expertise and guidance to support the food safety culture at Karimix Ensure all products comply with customer specifications Manage the QMS ensuring compliance with the latest BRCGS standard, and HACCP plans Facilitate and manage technical audits including GMP audits, contributing to the continuous improvement of the site standards Manage investigations, identifying root causes, implementing effective corrective, preventative actions and closeouts Lead the HACCP Team Collaborate with the Sales and NPD Teams to ensure product specifications are completed within agreed timescales Work closely with colleagues to ensure high standards of food safety and quality Manage annual product traceability, withdrawal, and recall testing Manage the periodic calibration of measuring equipment (e.g. probes and scales) Complete allergen rapid testing and ensure allergen samples and swabs are sent to the lab within agreed timeframes Contribute as part of the Karimix management team Skills and Experience Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Technical Management role within the food manufacturing industry is essential Proven Technical expertise supported by a relevant qualification such as a food science degree. HACCP L4 Food safety qualification or equivalent Demonstratable leadership skills with the ability to engage and develop others Customer-focused with a commitment to customer satisfaction Strong communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels IT literate including Microsoft Word and Excel High standards of numeracy, literacy, and attention to detail. Flexible with a hands-on approach and collaboration abilities Ability to work at pace and manage multiple deadlines Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday Salary: Up to £40,000.00 per annum Location: Based onsite at Faversham, Kent
