Technical Manager - Hydraulic Systems and Products Newton Abbot Competitive Salary + Excellent Progression and Career Development Opportunities + Benefits I am working with a specialist and well-established business with a wide range of engineering operations including manufacturing, design, service, installation, and supply. Busy as ever, they have a vacancy for a Technical Operations Manager to lead the Technical Office. As the Technical Manager, you will oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of a skilled team of Design and Applications Engineers as well as provide line management and support to the Workshop Manager. You will be heavily involved with quotations, progress sales, and prepare reports - liaising with both external sales and technical teams. You will be expected to develop and manage a production planning system for not only your own events but also others in your team; therefore, you will need a good understanding of computer systems in a fast-moving Technical and Workshop Environment. Due to the technical nature of the projects, you will ideally have formal engineering qualifications as well as a good understanding of Hydraulic Systems such as Power Packs, Cylinders, Pumps, Valves, Actuators, etc. We welcome applications from those in a more junior technical role who are looking to make a step up to a management role as well as those who are experienced at leading teams; the key for us here really is a good technical foundation - those who have come from a “hands-on” or “on the tools” apprenticeship background are of particular appeal.
