Technical Manager
to join its prestigious Yacht Management team in Palm Beach. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to work with industry-leading experts in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Role Purpose The Technical Manager will support yacht owners and crew in maintaining and operating managed yachts effectively. The goal is to ensure vessels remain in excellent condition, compliant with regulations, and ready for use when required. Key Responsibilities Provide technical oversight and guidance to yacht managers for assigned vessels, ensuring compliance with Yacht Management Agreements. Verify that machinery and engineering systems are operated and maintained per the Safety Management System and ISM Code requirements. Review monthly maintenance and defect reports, providing actionable guidance to rectify issues. Conduct periodic yacht visits, prepare technical inspection reports, and follow up on identified issues. Develop and maintain a 5-year plan for major works for each yacht. Assist with insurance claim assessments, including investigations and damage evaluations. Organize and manage routine dry docking and maintenance periods, including: Identifying the scope of work and determining alignment with management agreements. Preparing refit specifications using Smart Sheet templates. Identifying shipyards and overseeing tendering processes. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in technical yacht management or a related maritime field. Comprehensive knowledge of ISM Code, Class, and Flag State regulations. Strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders. Ability to travel periodically for yacht inspections and projects.
