2786927 Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Technical Manager to join their business. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Oversee all technical and quality aspects of the products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and retailer requirements. Act as the primary technical point of contact for major retailers, managing relationships and ensuring satisfaction with our product quality and safety. Implement and maintain rigorous quality control systems to guarantee the highest product standards from farm to shelf. Manage and improve the HACCP system, ensuring all safety and quality protocols are adhered to across the production process. Mentor and develop the technical team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. Prepare for and lead internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and retailer standards. Collaborate with R&D to drive product development and innovation, aligning with market trends and customer needs. Champion sustainability practices within the business, working towards environmentally friendly and ethical production methods. Utilise technical data and KPIs to inform decision-making and drive improvements in product quality and operational efficiency. Work closely with operations, production, and sales teams to align technical requirements with business goals. About you: Proven track record in a similar role in food/fresh manufacturing is required. Understanding of sustainability in the supply chain. Experience in a Technical role with major retailers.
