As the customer-facing Technical Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of technical compliance, quality management, and customer engagement for the business.
You will also support all third-party audits and ensure the internal audit management aligns with the company's "audit ready every day" culture. Additionally, you will be responsible for site HACCP and QMS systems, ensuring all products are produced in a safe and legal manner to protect the integrity of the business and customers'.
The Role Manage the technical functions at site, ensuring efficiency in quality delivery, compliance information, and specifications. Oversee retail customer requirements, managing expectations to deliver brand protection and uphold company values. Manage, train, and develop the site technical teams. Monitor industry changes and legal updates, communicating these to the wider team. Support HACCP team meetings, ensuring they occur regularly and that learnings are implemented. Standardize supplier compliance with effective performance monitoring and annual reviews. Promote a culture of "audit ready every day." Encourage and facilitate internal cross-functional collaboration.
The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will be an experienced Customer Facing Technical Manager with experience in the fresh produce/food sector. You will have a great eye for detail, excellent IT skills, and proven project management skills along with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Minimum Requirements To be considered for this role, you must have experience working with retailers, be a self-starter, and be able to work on your own initiative. The business is fast-paced, and you will be required to meet the needs of the business as and when required.
