Your Role The ESG Management System Technical Manager is responsible for leading and guiding the technical operations of audit and advisory programs. With a focus on alignment with industry standards, innovation, and collaboration, the Technical Manager ensures the team's success in providing sales support, developing and maintaining technical tools, conducting ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) and Due Diligence advisory and audits, delivering technical training, conducting market research, offering technical support, supporting digitization efforts, and aligning with ISO standards. Reporting lines: The Technical Manager will report to the Director of MAP (Mapping and Audit Practices). Key Responsibilities Technical Development
Lead the development and maintenance of ESG and Due Diligence audit checklist, and audit guidance within the MAP unit. Collaborate with internal project team and clients to understand the business requirements and translate them into technical solutions, including but not limited to audit and advisory service. Ensuring audit and advisory products compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality management systems. Provide technical support to internal teams and external clients, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and providing effective solutions. Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the technical team within the MAP unit. Develop and implement strategies, goals, and objectives to align with industry standards and drive innovation. Identify industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Active collaboration with the sales team and assistance in identifying new business opportunities. Active collaboration with relevant teams to enhance digital solutions and processes. Ensure alignment with ISO standards and MAP processes.
Conduct Field Audits
Conduct onsite/remote ESG and Due Diligence audits and or provide advisory services, ensuring adherence to local regulations, international standards and or clients’ requirements.
Team Management
Dedicated to the professional development of team members, providing guidance and mentorship. Monitoring and evaluating team performance, providing feedback and implementing improvement initiatives as needed. Identifying opportunities for process optimization, automation, and innovation to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence within the Technical Team.
Business Development
Strong familiarity with relevant technical knowledge, industry developments and best practices to support new businesses. Provide effective advice on the development of the Map team on industry trends and emerging technology research and development to assist business development.
Others
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of technical solutions and initiatives. Plan and deliver technical training sessions for team members (i.e. auditor team and project team), emphasising the enhancement of technical skills and adherence to best practices.
Your Profile Bachelor degree in environment, law, human rights, or similar. At least 10 years of management system auditing against standards like RBA, BSCI, SMETA, SA8000, ISO14001, ISO14064, ISO14067, ISO45001, or technical advisory experience in the field of social compliance and/or environment protection. Excellent written and spoken English skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Detail-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
