As a Mechanical Engineer - Energy Recovery & Processing, you'll be part of a vital & integral team, ensuring our sites operate at maximum efficiency. From processing resources into reusable materials to generating energy from landfill, you’ll provide critical mechanical technical support across our plants. This includes enhancing operational efficiency, supporting a variety of innovative waste-to-resource processes, and ensuring we meet and exceed industry standards. Your responsibilities will span mechanical engineering repairs, outage plans/fixes, project engineering with some project management, and hands-on commissioning and breakdown support. As this role does require field-based work across the UK, the Mechanical Engineer position allows for the option of being based at any of our energy recovery facilities across the UK. Internally, this role is called Technical Plant Engineer – EfW. What will you need, what can you gain? To make the cut, you must have a background in mechanical engineering with a related industry qualification & experience in a related sector, such as process, power, or heavy engineering industries, and a solid understanding of environmental legislation and management systems. We're looking for someone who can keep things running smoothly, help us identify areas for improvement, and enjoys working within a very friendly & fun team.
