Technical Product Owner
role is to support the ideation, design and delivery of large complex, cross-functional change programmes. The role will work closely with functional executives and business process owners to identify opportunities for technology to advance our strategic business goals, and will support in the development of business cases, document functional and non-functional requirements, lead on technology product selection and mobilise a delivery team, which may include 3rd parties, to execute change within edyn’s delivery governance framework. The role is responsible for overseeing all elements of technology across Finance & P&C The Technical Product Manager (Finance & HR)is a key role for the organisation, responsible for providing expert Technology leadership to inform our ongoing modernisation. The role will be critical to our goals by: Driving Competitive Advantage: Bring an understanding of technology best practice and hospitality market trends to drive transformation and modernisation within edyn. Responsible for identifying opportunities to digitise and modernise our Finance & HR Enhancing Agility: Facilitating dynamic and adaptable technology roadmaps, alongside the Director of Product, that blend edyn’s need to realise our strategic goals, with emerging market technologies and the ability of each function to absorb change. Support the business adapting from traditional waterfall delivery approaches to a more dynamic Agile delivery lifecycle. In this role, you'll be responsible for: Leadership and Strategy: Leading with a ‘Guest First’ mindset, collaborate with stakeholders across technology and functional teams to shape high value opportunities for technology to drive differentiation or efficiency for edyn, in support of our organisational goals and OKRs. Shape technology innovation and delivery across edyn by exploring new features, technologies and partnerships to meet guest needs and create modern, frictionless, engaging experiences. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for services within your functional area, identifying leading and lagging measures, to review technology effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. Commercially astute, you are able to produce and articulate sound business cases that demonstrate clear value and return on investment for proposed projects. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, sharing insights and recommendations across edyn. Seek internal customer and external guest feedback to identify opportunities to enhance our technology offering. Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders within your functional area, including executive sponsors, steering committees and external partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals. Provide guidance on delivery methodologies (Agile, Lean etc) to business teams to ensure alignment from requirement capture to final delivery. Influence stakeholders on anything from product selection to timing of deliverables, benefits case to ensure continued collaboration and alignment. Work with a wider team of delivery professionals to implement changes of exceptional quality. Planning and Execution Develop comprehensive technology roadmaps & plans, outlining scope, objectives, deliverables, resourcing timelines and key milestones. Capture detailed requirements to enable project delivery through RFP’s or continued development of existing assets through 3rd parties or our internal teams. Technical evaluation of potential solutions to ensure compliance with edyn technical standards. (Understanding of API’s, hosting, security, data management, serviceability etc). Proactively identify risks, issues and dependencies, developing and implementing strategies to mitigate and ensure project success. Develop and monitor key performance indicators to evidence benefit realisation. Work with functional leads and the project delivery structure to ensuring smooth transition and high adoption rates. Manage cross functional teams of internal and external resources, ensuring appropriate resource allocation, workload balancing and effective collaboration across diverse keyholders. Ensure alignment with the Corporate PMO and adherence to governance frameworks, methodologies and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Lead and develop a team of senior product owners to deliver maximum value into their allocated functions. Qualification and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. 5+ years of experience of technology delivery experience in product management or business partnering. Strong experience of executing Lean Six Sigma, Agile, PMP or equivalent methodologies. Certifications desirable. Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills to identify opportunities or issues early and develop effective strategies to address them. Experience overseeing or managing projects in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities, with a stellar track record. Proficient in project delivery tools (JIRA, Confluence, Monday.com) and strong at problem solving and leverage tools to help guide process owners and leaders to the right outcomes. Experience in Hospitality is preferred, ideally within extended stay or hybrid sectors. Experience with some of the following technologies would be desirable: Cloud based ERP systems, predictive analytics, payments, core HR information platforms, talent acquisition systems, learning & development systems, payroll, employee portals, data & analytics. Experience of working across multi-country and varying jurisdictions with intricacies and cultural differences.
