Technical Program Manager, Optical System
to join Snap Lab team at Snap Inc! What you’ll do:
Create integrated project schedules between hardware and software that align with product requirements, technical challenges, tooling lead-times, and business needs. Communicate with hardware and software engineering, operations, and quality teams to develop & capture requirements, identify risks, plan and drive execution of deliverables. Plan milestones, anticipate setbacks, and support troubleshooting and/or contingency plans. Drive best practices and production processes in a fast-paced production setting. Document and execute on product specifications and test plans. Develop business relationships with external partners, contractors, and vendors. The role may require availability for international travel (10% - 30%). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Expert in schedule creation and management for hardware products. Ability to design experiments (DOE) for hardware build configurations and hardware build management. Proficient with materials planning and lead times for hardware builds. Skilled at risk identification and mitigation across hardware and software. Strong motivational leadership skills. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, optical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent years of experience. 3+ years experience of electrical, mechanical, optical, or hardware project management at a tech or consumer electronics company. Preferred Qualifications:
Proven track record of interdisciplinary system integration of electrical, mechanical, optical, and software components. Experience with project/issue tracking and version control software. Experience driving complex programs in a fast-paced consumer electronics environment. 5+ years experience of electrical, mechanical, optical, or hardware project management at a tech or consumer electronics company.
