Technical Project Manager - Banking

in Sheffield and/or remote for our growing team in the UK. Job Overview: This role requires an experienced project manager with a strong background in Infrastructure Delivery and Management, and a mix of technical skills and business acumen. The project manager will be responsible for writing recovery Runbooks, identifying dependencies, and undertaking a variety of systems related projects within the Infrastructure Portfolio. The role is documentation heavy and requires strong architectural knowledge as the work is mainly in the architecture space. Responsibilities and Duties: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle from feasibility study through to implementation, delivering the Book of Work of the Infrastructure area. Bring together various technical teams in the production of a clear, achievable, cost-effective, and supportable design. Liaise with business areas, representing the Infrastructure Portfolio with credibility, guiding the business on the best solution, and tailoring business requirements to meet best practice and our technical standards. They must be commercially astute and experienced in dealing with budgets and external vendors. Work with application teams, business, and infra teams. Essential Work Experience: Strong project management background based on Infrastructure Delivery and Management. Evidence of successful delivery of multiple projects within the Infrastructure space. Infrastructure technical skills. Project Management Qualification. Personal Requirements: Excellent communication skills. Results-driven, with a strong sense of accountability. A proactive, motivated approach. The ability to operate with urgency and prioritize work accordingly. Strong decision-making skills, the ability to demonstrate sound judgement. A structured and logical approach to work. Strong problem-solving skills. Commercially astute and experienced in dealing with budgets and external vendors. A creative and innovative approach to work. Excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to manage large workloads and tight deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. A calm approach, with the ability to perform well in a pressurized environment. Strong numerical skills. Excellent Microsoft Office skills. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of Mainframe systems is a plus.
