Cheltenham Contract Day rate: £700- £750 Inside IR35

We're currently seeking an experienced and innovative Technical Project Manager to work with our exceptional client in a secure environment, managing challenging and highly rewarding projects.

This contract role will require you to conduct security clearance prior to assignment. The opportunity is available in Cheltenham and based onsite.

This Technical Project Manager role is conducted in an environment that is far from ordinary, therefore, we're not looking for ordinary. Our client is looking for a Technical Project Manager to work within their engineering team. This role will enable product delivery and ensure requirements remain structured, focused and on track throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Role requirements:

Lower proof of concepts from research teams and working with the delivery community to develop plans to realise high instances. Subsequently ensuring delivery of scaled and sustained high capabilities. Project and Delivery Management of technical engineering work packages within business area governance and policy frameworks. Reporting project progress and managing issues. Development of sustainment and product testing work packages, supporting life-cycle management of technical capabilities. Delivery of technology within the aspirations of investment case and technical strategies. Success achieved through quarterly OKR's (objectives and key results) and annual objectives.

Key responsibilities: Technical Project Management of Engineering Projects. Identify and set project controls. Resources - Scheduled and manage resources required to deliver the project. Budget - Manage delivery within budget. Project performance controls - build project plan and apply appropriate project principles to deliver stated objectives. Track and report on delivery outcomes. Governance - provide key reports and support effective governance and decision making. Engaging and managing the stakeholder community (internally, externally and across a range of diverse communities). Discuss requirements with the operations community, Product Lead and Chief Engineer ensuring the engineering ecosystem are engaged through proactive communication. Risks and issues - identify and monitor project risks and issues. Develop mitigating actions and escalates as appropriate. Maintain a project risk register and escalate delivery risk to the Chief Engineer.
