As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing software development projects for VIAVI’s Automation Management and Orchestration System. The role primarily requires working in conjunction with software development teams to deliver improvement-based projects related to automation, test, measurement and integration of wireless products (4G, 5G and beyond). Duties & Responsibilities: To create, manage and track projects, including: Project schedules Cost Estimates Status reports Risk management Policing the development processes Manage day to day activities of projects and staff; and communicate with project teams as required to ensure project deliverables are on schedule and meet requirements Ensure that Business Unit, Software and Hardware groups are coordinated on deliveries Resource planning in conjunction with the Product and Programme Managers Manage the full Agile life cycle of software development Management of systems based on existing products and modules (in-depth knowledge of hardware module development not required) Support the Product Owner in their efforts to manage the backlog and guide the team while facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope Promote company quality practices using the guidance provided to assist the teams in constantly improving the quality of their deliverables and meeting the Definition of Done (DoD) Motivate and coordinate inter-team cooperation to ensure the team operates efficiently Establish and drive project goals with a key focus on delivery Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements: Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a similar related discipline Wireless Telecommunications Engineering background, with technical project/ product management skills within a product development company Experience in managing projects for web-based applications (UX design, development, test, release) Ability to work with geographically distributed teams in multiple locations Able to manage competing priorities between development and support Good planning skills and experience with product development Telecoms knowledge is highly desirable and would be an advantage Emotional intelligence with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written Leadership skills, including strong time management skills with the ability to effectively delegate when required Ability to foster and reinforce teamwork and trust Adaptability and resilience Conflict management and resolution skills Experience as a line manager or relevant role, with the ability to work with little input Proven proactivity and drive International travel:
