We are looking to employ an experienced, innovative, driven and determined field sales professional. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join a very forward-thinking and expanding company. Must be experienced in the Fire & Security Industry, have knowledge of British Standards, and be able to design & quote. The right candidate will ideally have a track record of strategically targeting new business and winning contracts in a challenging environment as well as maintaining and developing the company's existing database. You will confidently represent the business whilst focusing on enhancing Dorset Fire & Security’s market position and creating new revenue streams within the industry sector by strategically targeting new business via proactive and intelligent business development. You will generate new business-to-business appointments over the phone and face-to-face, generating recurring revenue from new and existing customers. Achieve monthly sales quotas for both fire and security targets and maintain weekly KPIs. Must have knowledge of the entire sales cycle from generating leads through to quotation/tendering and closing the sale. You must identify target accounts for new business generation. You will be expected to develop account strategies to maximise sales opportunities. The ability to ensure cost-effective use of time through call planning and objective setting is essential. We expect you to have the desire and ambition to further your career within our organisation. The Role

Dorset Fire & Security sales targets and commission scheme pertaining to the role of Technical Sales. The commission scheme is a non-contractual arrangement designed to reward sales employees who actively engage in driving sales revenue and contributing to business growth. Commission will normally be paid (less any tax due) along with your salary once the sale is made. Commission will only be paid on receipt of an official order from the sale to which it relates. Although rare, if a sale is subsequently refunded (in part or in whole), for whatever reason, any commission already paid on the sale may be deducted from your normal salary payment or other monies owing to you. The decision to deduct or not deduct any such commission rests solely with the Managing Director and will aim to be a proportionate response to the reasons for the refund. Entitlement to accrue commission shall cease on the termination or suspension of your employment. On termination of employment, for whatever reason, commission will be calculated based on sales placed in the relevant period up to and including your last working day. For the avoidance of doubt, if you are still employed but are not actually working such as may be the case if you are on a period of garden or other leave, commission payments will not apply to the period of time after your last working day. The Company reserves the right to pay any commission to you separately from your normal salary payment. The Company also reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend, cancel, or vary these commission arrangements on giving you one month’s notice to that effect. Targets

Your minimum monthly target is £50,000 (net) sales per month. This is equivalent to £600,000 (net) per year and it is anticipated that this will be split between an Install Value and a Maintenance Value as per the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). You are expected to achieve a gross margin on sales of 35% unless agreed with the Commercial Director. Any prospective quotes in excess of £10,000 (net) must be authorised by the Commercial Director, as must jobs outside of the normal geographic area to which you are assigned. You will be expected to achieve: Set KPI’s Whilst you will be permitted, indeed expected, to take responsibility for planning your target customers, the Company reserves the right to request that you focus on a particular sector and/or particular type of business e.g. the educational sector or new rather than existing customers. You may also be required to bring in sales for an associated Company. You will be expected to produce a weekly time sheet/diary detailing your appointments in addition to a sales and enquiry prospective spreadsheet. Commission Basis

Net installation sales per month (exclusive of VAT) Up to £44,999 – Commission % paid – 0.0% £45,000+ Commission % paid – 1.0% – New business sales 3.5% £50,000+ Commission % paid – 2.5% – New business sales 3.5% By way of example, if you bring in £55,000 (net) of sales in a month, you will receive 1.0% of £50,000 i.e., £500 + 2.5% of £5000 i.e., £125 giving total commission in the month of £625. If you achieve £46,000 target monthly sales, you will receive £460 per month on top of your normal salary payment (subject to tax and NI). Where a sale is related to new business (i.e., sales received from a customer that has not previously bought from the Company), this will attract an additional commission as in the table above. This ‘new’ sales premium applies to all sales from the new Company within the first six months only. New business commission will only be applied once monthly target has been met. Net contract sales per month (exclusive of VAT)* Salary – £45,000 – £60,000 OTE + Commission + Company Car
