Our client is a leader in providing repairs, installations, and engineering consultancy services in heavy engineering. Clients span industries such as power, petro-chemical, aggregate, utilities, large process plants, and logistics. They are now looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Technical Sales Engineer / Estimator to sell our company's M&E services. The role requires a strong background in estimating, as well as procuring new business opportunities in both the manufacturing and fabricating workshop, and field service activities.

Duties:

Attend customer sites to scope, measure, and qualify materials from engineering drawings and specifications producing quotations, pricing, and tender bids. Manage client relationships maintaining communication with clients throughout the process. Follow sales action plans and strategies to achieve monthly sales targets. Resolve customer complaints effectively. Conduct proactive sales calls to generate more sales. Attend weekly sales meetings. Promote the business brand consistently. Ensure timely delivery of information.

Experience:

Must have experience in sales/estimation within a similar engineering or manufacturing environment. Ability to produce quotations and conceptual designs/sketches is essential. Must have great communication skills, highly literate and numerate, with commercial acumen. Must have confidence in dealing directly with decision makers and customers. Proficiency in CRM, CAD software, and other sales tools along with Microsoft office applications. Flexible and adaptive to changing requirements. Must have a focus on quality and the ability to emphasize its importance. An understanding of technical drawings, manufacturing methods, and engineering principles is required. Industry experience in machining and fabrication services would be desirable. Ability to strengthen customer relationships and develop new business opportunities is preferable. Skilled in producing presentations to promote new products and services. Competence in compiling quotations and sales specifications.

Benefits:

Salary £40,000 - £50,000. Annual performance-related bonus, pension, and healthcare benefits. 28 days of annual leave plus statutory/bank holidays. 40-hour workweek during normal office hours (Monday to Friday).
