Hendy Power supplies engines, major assemblies, and original equipment components to Industrial, Off-Highway, Power Generation, and Marine markets, along with outstanding aftermarket service support and OEM parts. Due to the expansion of our business, we are looking for an experienced Sales Engineer with knowledge of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) products to liaise directly with B2B prospects, matching clients’ requirements with suitable solutions, and nurturing relationships with current customers. You will mainly be working with our current franchise partners, FPT Industrial, Lister Petter, and Ford FCS covering UK and Ireland sales; therefore, frequent travel across the UK and Ireland is required. The Opportunity:

The Technical Sales Engineer is accountable for supporting the Hendy Power Products Sales Manager, utilizing sales knowledge of OEM products to identify market opportunities and new customer acquisition, whilst matching clients’ requirements with suitable products to maximize sales opportunities. You will also be accountable for the following but not limited to: Prepare quotations and tenders in accordance with OEM policies to ensure compliance. Ensure delivery dates and lead times relating to contracts are agreed upon and met to comply with customer expectations. Investigate any leads relating to company products, information from trade journals, or leads from our franchises to maximize sales opportunities. Attend regular sales reviews both in the UK and overseas to maximize OEM and customer relationships. Proactively work to agreed budgets both within the Hendy Power and OEM partners to ensure the profitability of the business. Actively identify new business prospects for OEM products to maximize sales opportunities to achieve departmental goals and business growth for a year-on-year increase in sales and gross profit. Attend OEM trade shows as and when required. The Rewards:

Experience with Diesel Engine sales is preferable. Demonstrable account management skills to maximize client relations and ensure outstanding customer retention rates. Able to establish relationships with prospects and clients who have power/engine/other requirements for the OEM brands managed across the UK and Ireland to grow the business. Able to travel across the UK and Ireland when required with overnight stays. Full UK driving License. The Company:
