Technical Sales Manager
to drive revenue with both new and existing customers working across commercial and specification sales for the range of SBM products we provide within our GCP brand. As part of the role, you will be mainly working with customers across Local Authorities, Engineers, Structural Engineers, and Architects but also be interacting with customers across Contractors and Key Distributors. You’ll be a practiced salesperson, who is highly customer focused and able to anticipate and adapt to customer needs and expectations, maintaining and developing customer relationships. The role is predominantly covering the M6 corridor including Manchester, with some flexibility required – a full UK driving license will be required due to the extensive travel. What we’re looking for: Proven track record of successful specification sales within the waterproofing or construction related market Have previously worked with Architects, Engineers, and ground-workers Due to the technical nature of the role, ideally be CSSW qualified, or possess a similar qualification across engineering/construction A genuine approach to the role, professional but also able to be relatable to customers as well as an ability to communicate observations coherently and comprehensively You’ll be confident in your approach and able to be resilient even in the face of adversity What will you be doing: Visiting prospective clients to provide advice and solutions to our customer’s requirements Maintaining regular contact with key influencers to keep abreast of current and future opportunities, where we can influence the specification and sale, including technical standards and procurement methods Building profitable and long-term relationships with clients and customers; Asset owners, Main Contractors, and end-users while successfully managing the accounts Preparing proposals and specifications with clients, specifiers, and main contractors Monitoring market activity, including prices and market share – identifying trends and communicating this to the line manager, while also bringing your own ideas and thoughts through Are Construction Chemicals and Saint-Gobain inclusive employers?
