Their expertise spans printed films, pouches, lidding films, flow wrap, and multi-layer laminates, ensuring they meet the complex demands of modern food packaging. They are currently looking to recruit a Technical Sales Manager to join their team. The chosen candidate will need technical and commercial experience as well as flexible packaging/film or laminate experience. You will proactively pursue new business opportunities in key categories to drive sales growth and manage a portfolio of designated customers, ensuring strong relationships and continued business development. Responsibilities

Experience selling flexible packaging including printed films, lidding films, flow wrap, and multi-layer laminates into the food market. Expand sales within the existing customer base through effective account management and strategic engagement. Attend sales meetings with potential and existing customers and pursue any sales leads. Use your own initiative to create leads. Provide specialist technical input to customers where required, including specifications, problem-solving, internal advice, and customer complaint support. Manage existing key accounts with the aim of maintaining and increasing business. Liaise with the Managing Director to determine the new business that should be targeted and the strategic products which should be the focus of new sales. Communicate with potential customers through telephone, email, and written correspondence. Pursue and secure appointments with potential and existing customers to generate sales. Present new products and innovations to potential and existing customers with the aim of generating new/additional sales. Maintain good working relationships with customers, providing samples and quotations. Regularly report to the Managing Director on the progress of new sales. Support customers on technical specifications, production issues, and customer complaint investigations where required, including addressing challenges to manufacturing partners when inadequate feedback is received on non-conformances. Provide support to colleagues on new projects regarding specifications and artwork. Where required, provide support on customer visits to manufacturing partners when audits/introductory meetings are arranged. Accompany customers to print passes as necessary.
