The (Senior) Technical Sales Specialist will play a crucial role in developing and executing our new business acquisition strategy in the territory. This position, reporting to the Sales Director, EMEA requires a blend of business acumen and scientific expertise in the field of instrumentation for biomolecular analytics. We are open to hiring a Technical Sales Specialist or a Senior Technical Sales Specialist, depending on experience. Primary responsibilities for this role include: Selling and promoting Refeyn’s products and solutions across customer groups in Academia and Industry, building strong networks across both customer segments. Meet or exceed the sales target assigned by the Regional Sales Director. Create and drive new business opportunities through the sales funnel with timely lead nurturing. Accurate opportunity forecasting in Refeyn CRM. Identify new prospects and establish business relationships with new potential customers. Assess and analyze customer needs, respond to customer inquiries, and suggest products and services as appropriate. Understand customer applications, workflows, and pain points/bottlenecks and determine if/where our technology fits. Excellent presentation skills and independence in presenting Refeyn technology and applications sales enablement tools. Skilled in identifying key decision makers and understanding their purchasing process. Actively drive newly launched innovative products and services into the marketplace and proactively follow up on the successful implementation of the technology. Routine follow-up with existing customer base to touch base on activities and review needs (e.g. upgrades, consumable needs, etc.). Lead price and contract negotiations with prospective customers. Work closely with other departments (Marketing, Product Management, Applications, Service) in order to provide customers with full technical information and support. Utilize all available sales tools to maximize sales efficiency (Salesforce, LinkedIn, etc.). Support the Regional Sales Director with the development and implementation of territory plans. Drive sales and promotional activities such as conferences and customer workshops, and generate leads and prospects for Refeyn’s products. Prepare quarterly forecasts and maintain accurate opportunity information in our CRM (Salesforce). We are ideally looking for someone with the following skills and experience: Qualifications Degree in Molecular Biology Science, or similar relevant field; additional business degree a plus. Knowledge and Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in a sales role working with analytical CAPEX equipment, specifically within the life sciences sector in the UK. Undergraduate Degree in a Molecular Biology Science, or similar relevant field. Strong organizational and time management skills required. Experience communicating with different audiences and cross-functional teams (e.g. customers, Sales Operations, R&D, Product Management, Applications, Service & Support). Right to work in relevant country required as standard for all roles. Full driving license. Ability to travel: Moderate to high within and out of the assigned territory (50% or more). Bioanalytical domain specific expertise. Established network in the regional life sciences sector is desirable. Postgraduate Degree in a Molecular Biology Science, or similar relevant field.
